''It was the second video I ever did, ''If You Had My Love'' was first. It was also the first time I went into the editing room and sat side by side with the editor, Dustin. That’s when I realized the magic of editing. Since then, I’ve been involved in the editing of all my videos. ''Waiting for Tonight'' is one of my all-time favorites because it stands the test of time, it was 1999, just about to be 2000 - everyone thought the world was going to crash, so the director Francis Lawrence and I just threw the ultimate rave in a rainforest!'' - Jennifer Lopez
''I grew up on freestyle music. My whole thing was when Puffy said ''You have that Latin soul, and you can never go away from that. Just be who you are.'' That went into not just the music, like a song ''Waiting for Tonight'', but went into the styling of who I was. I was like ''No, I want to wear big hoops, I want to put my baby hairs down, I don't care if it's not fashionable in the big magazines. There were certain things I stuck to.'' - Jennifer Lopez
''The track was presented by someone named Rick Wake. I loved the song; Jennifer hated the song in its early demo format. I begged Rick and said, “Look, please we need to go back on this song. We need to work on this song and really produce it out''. Jennifer went from hating this song and her saying, ''I never want to hear that song again. It’s horrible and so cheesy''. And then it went to, ''Oh my God! Can we record right now! Come to the studio tonight let's do it''. But it almost didn’t make it.'' - Cory Rooney (producer)
